Sunset Beach is 380m long beach on the north west coast of Koh Lipe. It stretches from Bayview Sunset Resort in the south to Royal residence in the north. Sunset Beach is around 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes motorbike taxi ride from Koh Lipe walking street.

There are several islands in front of Sunset Beach such as Koh Adang, Ko Hin Ngam, Koh Yang Island, and Koh Rawai. Sunset Beach is a good start point for island hopping from Koh Lipe.

To the north of Sunset Beach, you’ll also see Karma Beach, also known as Bulow Beach or North Point Beach. At low tide, you can walk along the coast from Sunset Beach to Karma Beach.

To the Southwest of Sunset Beach are smaller, rocky beaches, and coves. From Sunset Beach, you can get back to the paved road heading to the southwest to access these even more tranquil beaches.

What’s on Sunset Beach Ko Lipe?

Sunset Beach isn’t lined with resorts, restaurants, bars, and dive shops like in Pattaya Beach and Sunrise Beach. It has just a couple of accommodations, and beach bars with bean bags, sunbeds, and chairs on the sand.

There are kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment for rent at the beach. The beachfront is lined with long tail boats where you can take boats to nearby islands such as Koh Adang.

I got to Sunset Beach by walking through Bayview Sunset Resort at the far southern end of the beach.  The resort has a lovely restaurant with stunning views of the ocean and stairs to the beach.
