I stayed in Hua Hin City Center and rented a scooter to explore all attractions around Hua Hin, including Suan Son Pradipat Beach. It is only a 15 minute drive from Hua Hin center to the beach.
Renting a motorbike is also convenient to combine a visit to Suan Son Pradipat Beach with other attractions such as Pran Buri beach, and Pran Buri Forest Park. You can also easily explore the Khao Tao area south of Suan Son Pradipat with its Big Buddha, nice lake, and colorful fishing village.
You can rent a motorbike from many rental shops in Hua Hin City Center. My hotel’s owner helped me to rent a scooter from a local. It was brand new and in a very good condition. I paid 250 baht per day.
The price can range from 200-300 baht/ day depending on the type of motorbike and its condition. But generally, it is a cheap way to explore the city, especially if you can drive.
By Taxi, Grab, Bolt
Located just 10 km away from Hua Hin City center, you can easily take a taxi or songthaews to get to the beach. If you don’t want to negotiate the price with the driver, you can try requesting a ride from ride share apps such as Grab or Bolt. There might be some drivers who will take you there.
The beach is a quiet area, I’m not sure if you will be able to catch a taxi back to the city later. So it is best to arrange your transport back in advance, or check the train schedule to use as an alternative.
