Long Beach & Little Long Beach, Koh Yao Noi

Long Beach and Little Long Beach are two neighboring beaches located on the north east coast of Koh Yao Noi island. These beaches are known for their serene atmosphere and stunning views of the limestone cliffs in Phang Nga Bay.

Long Beach is around 1km long with clean, calm water, and soft sand, which is great for swimming, relaxing, and sunbathing. The beach is lined with palm trees and mangrove trees, so you’ll have plenty of shades.

Long Beach is home to Three ladies, serving bed chairs, hammocks, food, drinks for visitors. They also have a small number of  bungalows for those who want to stay in a remote area for a couple of nights.

Little Long Beach is located around 5 minutes drive south of Long Beach. Little Long Beach 500m long beach with yellow coarse sand, peaceful vibe, and crystal clear water. The shore is lined with trees, creating natural shades. Two ends of the beach are the forested hills.

When I visited the beach in early 2025, there was almost no tourist infrastructure on the beach, just nature and the sound of the waves. There is now a The Woods bar and a hotel called Amber on the beach, but still offer secluded feels compared to other beaches around the island.

Location of Long Beach & Little Long Beach

Long Beach and Little Long Beach are located on the north east coast of Koh Yao Noi island. They are north of popular beaches such as Pasai, Klong Jark, and Tha Khao Beach. They are south of the remote Paradise Beach.

Long Beach is right next to Little Long Beach. But to reach one from another, you need to get back to the main road. The distance is around 750m, which is around a 5 minute scooter ride.

Long Beach is around a 25-30 minute drive from the island’s main pier, Manoh Pier. You can get to the beach from the pier via the road on the west coast, or east coast. The east coast road is a bit longer but it has beautiful views of the sea on the beach road.

The cheapest way to get to Long Beach and Little Long Beach is to rent a scooter. You can rent a scooter when you arrive at Manoh Pier or at popular beach towns such as Pasai, Klong Jark or Tha Khao. The scooter rental is around 250-300 baht per day.

The main road in Koh Yao Noi is generally paved, flat, and in relatively good condition, so it was quite easy for me to get around.

The last bits to Long Beach and Little Long Beach involved gravel and dirt roads but it was manageable for me to drive all the way to the beach from the main road. It might not be at its best when driving after the rainy day.

One of the difficult roads for me is the Mountain Road Scenic Viewpoint to Paradise Beach direction. The road was narrow and steep for me, so I didn’t make it to Paradise Beach and the Big Tree area.

You can also easily hire local taxis called songthaews. There are no riding share services such as Grab, Bolt, or InDrive on the island, so you’ll need to ask your hotel to organise one for you.

The songthaews can be found at the island’s main pier, Manoh Pier. It costs around 200-300 to get from the pier to Long Beach and Little Long Beach.

I stayed on Koh Yao Yai and brought my scooter on a long tail boat to Koh Yao Noi island for a day trip. If you want to do the same you need to ask the permission of the shop’s owner as in the contract most places do not allow you to do this.

On Little Long Beach, you can find The Woods Bar at the southern part of the beach. This place has nice bean bags and hammocks under the shades of the trees and umbrellas right on the sand.
