Klong Jark is a popular beach on Koh Yao Noi, located close to the island’s main pier, Manoh Pier. The beach is a great place for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the views of the limestone cliffs in Phang Nga Bay.
It’s a long beach, around 1,5km long, between Pasai beach and Tha Khao Beach. It has golden sand, calm water, and many trees along the shores, providing the natural shade. Many beachfront restaurants and bars have tables and chairs set on the sand.
The beach road runs parallel with Klong Jark beach and is lined with restaurants, bars, and resorts. The most busy part of the Klong Jark Beach is the 400m long southern section of the beach, and it’s quieter at the northern part.
Where is Klong Jark Beach, Koh Yao Noi?

Klong Jark Beach is located on the east coast of Koh Yao Noi island, around 15 minutes drive from the island’s main pier, Manoh Pier. The beach is located between Pasai Beach and Tha Khao Beach. Pasai is south of Klong Jark and south of Tha Khao Beach.
In front of Klong Jark is a collection of small islands such as Ko Ka Mit, Camel Island, and Hong islands . It’s about 15 km by sea from Tubkaek Beach and Dragon’s Crest mountain, which are popular destinations in the Krabii region.
From Klong Jark Beach, you can easily take long tail boats or speed boats to nearby islands in Phang Nga Bay such as James Bond island or Hong islands.

How to get to Klong Jark Beach, Koh Yao Noi?

The best way to get to Klong Jark is by scooter. You can rent a scooter at many motorbike rentals in the pier and popular areas around Koh Yao Noi. The rental is around 250-300 baht per day, which is a good price to explore the beaches and island at your own pace.
The main road of Koh Yao Yai is generally paved and relatively flat, so it’s easy to get around on the scooter. If you are a novice driver, avoid venturing off the main roads.
Koh Yao Noi is less developed than other islands in the Andaman Sea, so there are no shared driving services such as Grab, Bolt, or InDrive. You can use a local pick up truck which can be easily found at the Manoh Pier, when you arrive at the island by boat.
To get a songthaew taxi from anywhere other than the pier, ask your hotel to arrange it or book it through a local travel agency. I didn’t see local songthaew taxis standing everywhere in Koh Yao Noi like in other islands such as Phuket or Ao Nang.
Things to do in Klong Jark Beach, Koh Yao Noi
Swimming, sunbathing, chilling

Klong Jark Beach has golden coarse sand and calm shallow water. It is a good spot for swimming and relaxing. Like most beaches around the island, it’s ideal to swim at high tide. At low tide, the water goes far toward the sea, you can see rocks and muddy seabed.
I didn’t see sunbeds and umbrellas along the shore, so it’s best to bring your own towels. There are plenty of shaded areas on Klong Jark Beach. If you’re seeking the tranquil atmosphere, head to the northern area.
Watching the sunrise and sunset

Located on the east coast of the island, Klong Jark is a great spot to watch the sun go up. The golden sky and the views of the limestone cliffs rising above the ocean make it magical.
The sunset is also a great time to visit the beach, where you can enjoy the meal and drink at the beachfront restaurants and bars while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere when the sun goes down.
Dine at the beachfront restaurants and bars

Some popular restaurants and bars of Koh Yao Noi are located on Klong Jark Beach, so make sure to check out these places while visiting or staying at Klong Jark.
The Bai Tong simply foods resto is a lovely place to try Thai food with both indoor and outdoor settings. They have tables and chairs right on the sand and the beach side, so you can enjoy the meals with the ocean views.
Some popular dishes in the restaurants are the chicken satay, tom yum soup, curry, fried basil chicken, and mango sticky rice.
Sai Beach Bar & Restaurant is another popular spot located next to Bai Tong restaurant. They also have a beach setting, with swing chairs, tables and chairs on the beachside.
You can check out the Rice Paddy Restaurant at the southern part of Klong Jark, which is a good spot to visit at sunset. Other famous restaurants in the area are the Cafe Kantary near Cape Kudu Hotel that offer nice ice cream, cafes, and deserts.
Having a Thai Beach massage
There are several massage parlors along the island’s main road at the southern parts of Klong Jark Beach. You can have a relaxing atmosphere with the breeze of the ocean. I recommend having Thai oil massage for gentle massage and relaxation. The traditional Thai massage can be brutal at first for first-timers.
Boat rides to nearby islands

There are several tour agencies along the main road of Klong Jark Beach. You can book boat tours to nearby islands such as Hong islands and James Bond islands. These are one of the most beautiful islands to visit in Thailand with crystal clear water, fine white sand, and stunning limestone landscapes.
If you want an easy day trip from Klong Jark, you can visit the neighboring islands of Koh Yao Yai and Koh Nok. Koh Yao Yai has an even less developed atmosphere than Koh Yao Noi and Koh Nok offers great hiking to the viewpoint to see the sweeping views of the Phang Nga Bay.
